Accessibility matters, my friends! There are almost certainly deaf and hard of hearing folks that want the content you’re making in your podcast. But if you don’t have a transcript, they may not be able to get it.

A lot of podcasters don’t do transcripts because they think they’re either too time consuming or they’re too expensive, and they don’t necessarily have to be either. That’s something that I can help with!

And of course, while accessibility is the most important reason to do transcripts, I think, but it’s not the only reason. It can also help you with search engine optimization. I kid you not, the first time I did a transcript for an episode of my show, the next day, a Facebook friend told me that my podcast came up in just a random Google search for a keyword having to do with the topic of the episode. That was pretty cool to see!

So, I think a transcript is a mega important tool for any podcaster to have. It doesn’t have to be super expensive, it doesn’t have to be super time consuming. If it’s something you’re interested in doing for your show, scroll back up to the top here, hit that contact button, and let’s talk about it!
